« Televangelists on ELMER GANTRY: you can hear the gnashing of teeth. | Main | Sharon conquers the internet »

Greetings!

I'd also like to welcome everyone to our new blog. I'm ashamed to admit that I've never before written a blog, and so far, it's great fun!

It's going to be a very exciting fall, with the co-premieres of ELMER GANTRY in Nashville and in Montclair. We have an amazing cast, and an amazing production team...

Herschel and I began this opera in 1991, and it's finally coming to life, thanks to Nashville Opera and Peak Performances at Montclair State University. Auditions and rehearsals for the Montclair production begin September 5, and the Nashville rehearsal period begins Oct. 24.

There is much to talk about with ELMER GANTRY, and we'd appreciate your comments and contributions. Welcome.

Bob Aldridge
